It can be withdrawn
If the licence lapses or the site stops checking in, the mark stops showing as verified.

How the mark is used
Issued, not claimed
The mark is issued only where a paid plan or a certified deployment is active and checking in. A mark anyone could claim would mean nothing.
Always linked
The mark must always link to its verification page. A mark that does not link is not a valid mark.
Where it appears
